What Others Are Saying About St. John's

We'd like to let our friends and members tell you about us.  Here is what they are saying:

"I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all the good work you are doing in our neighborhood, especially the mobile food truck and your new connection with Mt. Mercy. The mobile food truck is a lot of work and a huge commitment and we are so grateful that you are offering this service to the West Side. It is a wonderful gift and I want to encourage in the service you are providing. Your new venture and support of Mt. Mercy is also wonderful. How easy it is to forget those who are shut in and out of sight. There are some wonderful people ther with deep West Side roots and you are a gift to them as well. I though it might be nice to know that others in your community noticed and appreciated your labor of love. Thank you for all you do!"

Melita P., a neighborhood ministry partner

"I remember driving by St. John's before we were members and thinking what a great use of land for a church that is intersected by three roads. I wondered what the inside looked like after seeing the beautiful circular windows shimmer in the sunlight. One day our neighbor invited us to Vacation Bible School.  We became members and our sons were baptized.  Now I know what the inside of St. John's looks like. It looks like a family that loves one another for their great cookies, or beautiful sewing abilities, or willingness to help with a food truck, or their incredible voice. A family using its time, talents, and treasures for God's will. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of your family."
Sue G., mother of two

"I believe the true meaning of St. John's is that we truly care for the mission of our church, but more important than that, is that we care for and love each other."
John K., retired - law enforcement

"When the congregation chose a pastor, Reverend Bill Lyons, who had visions for this church, who made efforts to reach out to others in the community, who preached diversity and inclusiveness, I was hooked! I wanted to be a part of the vision.  I knew that I had found a church where I could develop meaningful relationships and continue to grow in my relationship with God."
                                             Marilyn G., new member
